Today, we continue with our exposition of Titus, and we pick up with chapter 2 verse 12. Last time, we discussed verse 11, that the grace of God has appeared and brought salvation to all men. Verse 12 is a continuation of the same thought. In fact, verses 11 to 14 constitute one section . . . the section following Paul’s instruction for godly behavior among the different groups of people within the church. Our focus today will be on how grace, having appeared and having brought salvation to all men, instructs us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age.
