Today, we are continuing our exposition of Titus. In the last two shows, we addressed the hope of eternal life and Paul’s statement that God cannot lie in Titus 1:2. Today, will cover the last phrase of verse 2, that God promised the hope of eternal life long ages ago. Paul’s statement that God cannot lie is meant to support his statement that God promised the hope of eternal life a long time ago. So, what is the significance of this hope being promised in the past? What can we learn about the nature of the promise and the way in which God has, throughout history, fulfilled this promise?
